Working to a brief of ‘Fleet Foxes’ style combined with Georgian grandeur we conceived of a design defined by a new exposed timber structure that creates a con-trasting volume with the existing building.

The new pitched ceiling encloses a new open plan kitchen and dining space. The exposed timber brings warms and character to the space and glazed open-ings bring light in from unexpected angles.

The new extension opens directly onto the garden creating a strong connection from interior to exterior, previously lacking in the existing building.
